Sev is small pieces of crunchy and crispy strands of gramflour paste seasoned with turmeric powder and red chilli powder and deep fried in oil. It is eaten as a standalone snack as well as a topping on chaat dishes like Bhelpuri and Sevpuri. It is also used as a mixture in various types of chivdas. Tikha sev is mildly spicy and thicker than the regular sev.
